Meet Reanna Roxbury, Tattoo Artist at Slow Burn Tattoo

Please introduce yourself — who you are, your background, what service you provide?

My name is Reanna Roxbury. I am a black and gray illustrative, realism, and fine line tattoo artist based in Austin, Texas. I love deeply connecting with my clients, creating a safe space, and giving them a timeless piece of art.

How did you get started? What led you to this industry? Was it always the plan?

I've been an artist my entire life. I started tattooing in my 30s when I decided I was done putting my dreams on hold.

What do you love most about the work? What keeps you motivated and inspired day to day?

I love providing ink therapy, building close relationships with my clients and going the extra step to ensure they feel safe, seen, and heard. I'm inspired daily by the unique ideas clients bring to each project.

What's something people don't see or know about your industry?

One thing people don’t understand about the tattoo industry is how lawless it can be. There are many artists out there who are unlicensed and tattoo in unsanitary conditions — something clients often don't think about. I guarantee a clean, sterile environment and bring the training to back it up. Safe and sterile tattooing is my number one priority.

What resources, tools, or support do you wish existed?

I wish there were more tools to help tattoo artists get their name out there and connect with the right clients. I often hear that clients struggle to find an artist whose style truly matches their vision. Better discovery tools and more transparency around artists' work and backgrounds would benefit everyone, and that's part of what drew me to Maisaic.

What do you want potential clients to know about you or your work?

What makes me stand out is my integrity. There are many tattoo artists out there who are scamming clients, overcharging, and underperforming. That's not who I am. I don’t leave happy unless you leave happy. My goal is to create art with longevity that lasts a lifetime and leaves you proud of the art you're collecting, feeling beautiful in your skin.
